Welcome to another architecture game: House Flipper!
Who inspired me to play? You guessed it right: another Minecraft YouTuber, also a notable member of the Hermitcraft server: Welsknight.
As the name suggests, this game allows you to flip houses like a pancake. Not in a literal sense, but to renovate a house to wherever your creativity leads you.
Experience a thorough process of architectural and interior design!
To get started, launch the game (duh) and sit through the tutorials (duhh).
There will be a few "jobs" for you to complete. Finish them as many, and as quickly as you can, because: it'll unlock the tools of a tradesperson.
This includes demolishing a wall, building a wall or lintel, cleaning, painting, tiling and selling objects. There are also landscaping skills such as mowing the grass and cutting the bushes.
The more you perform certain actions, the more perks you can upgrade. For instance, you can complete a task up to 100% faster!
Most importantly, you'd rewarded money, which brings us to the main purpose of this game:
Purchase any houses and start refurbishing to your heart's content!
To buy one, simply go to your designated laptop's browser and choose a property to your liking. Then refurbish to your heart's content!
Once you're done with the renovation, you may choose to keep the house or sell them for a profit.
Note: On very rare occasions, you may suffer a loss on a sale. Smaller houses have smaller profit margins, so you may want to be thrifty with your construction management.
Hmm... What's construction management?
In simplest words, the way you manage your construction process. Below is a quick list:
Do you keep buying and selling items because you are undecided? In other words, being a perfectionist and therefore you're stuck in a repetitive process of experimenting with every item, style, layout etc?
Does the design fulfil some, if not most of the buyers' checklist?
Do you have the "basics" of the game, such as installing the radiators?
Do you spend some time outdoors ie work in the garden and enter the garden competition?
In a nutshell, it's all about decisions, decisions, decisions.
Who are the House Buyers?
There are a few in-game buyers, each with their unique requirements and preferences. You can check out their profile on House Flipper's wiki page.
What's next?
I have bought and flipped a few houses... And the bonus? I'll be recording videos and writing blog posts about most of the houses I tackle!
These contents will be focusing on my architectural thoughts, design intent, interior choices and even the analysis of intended buyers.
Have you tried this game yourself? I desperately need friends to gossip with, so drop me a contact!
Thank you for reading and happy flipping!
