"What did you say? There’s another SMP???"
Yup. Drum rolls please… welcome to Last LifeSMP! This is Season 2 of Third LifeSMP, a survival series with unprecedented success and popularity.
What is Last LifeSMP about? Who is in Last LifeSMP?
This server is home to 17 members, in alphabetical order:
BdoubleO100 (Bdubs), BigBst4tz22 (Big B), EthosLab (Etho), GoodTimeWithScar (Scar), Grian, ImpulseSV (Impulse), Inthelittlewood (Martyn), LDSHadowLady (Lizzie), MumboJumbo (Mumbo), Pearlescentmoon (Pearl), Rendog (Ren), Skizzleman (Skiz), SmallishBeans (Joel), SolidarityGaming (Jimmy), TangoTek (Tango), and ZombieCleo (Cleo).
Members would start the game with a randomly assigned number of lives, between 2to6. These were colour-coded on the players’ names: 2 and 3 lives were represented by the colour yellow and light green respectively. 4 or more lives were dark green.
And if one dropped to only 1 life? Red you go.
"What’s the fuss with lives?"
No one wanna die, duh???
The aim is to be the last person living. And to spark drama (c’mon that’s the reason we watch them), one or more boogeymen would be chosen by random each week. The mission is to kill someone else; otherwise, the boogeyman would automatically be red the next week.
What’s their recording schedule like?
They would record for three hours every Friday and release their episode on the following Tuesday. So that's something to cure the Monday blues!

I don’t think I need to elaborate, do I? This is quite self-explanatory. After all...
No man is an island. It’s always nice to know you have a backup and support 24/7. It’s even more heartwarming when your friend is always by your side, till the end of the line!
Have a look at Third Life SMP and you’ll get what I’m talking about. There’s a reason why some parties are heavily adored even if they lost. That’s a special bond only a few would create and even fewer would cherish!
The thing is: being all goody and nice could get boring after a while.
People love drama. And arguably speaking, Minecraft YouTubers kind of earn money from drama. So...
#2 Be prepared for deception and betrayal!

Yeah… but…drama!
P/S when I say drama, I do not mean the lores and scripted storylines many popular multiplayer servers were adopting.
The Last Life SMP is based on spontaneous, impromptu interactions between members. Anyone can do anything… at any time! It all boils down to the YouTuber’s wits, planning and decision.
Don’t forget; this SMP houses 17 Minecrafters. Each of them has unique personalities and ways of advancing the game... like finding loopholes and treading on the verge of righteousness. Certain members are just more prone to exercise these habits.
Some are leaders, some are followers; most of the lot are the undecided “neutrals” and very few are loners. Still, everyone has a bit of clown in them and that’s what we’re here for!
Conflicts are bound to happen, even if they started from an innocent prank.

#3 With spontaneity, Last Life SMPis a balance of sorts: expecting the unexpected and unexpecting the expected.
One thought it would be easy to play and predict the game because everyone knew everyone's background, strengths and weaknesses.
Now, now… isn’t this a beautiful illusion!
Let’s use the Third Life SMP as an example. I once asked on Instagram: who would be the first player to lose all of their lives?
"Surprise"... Scar won unanimously.
Yet who were the final three survivors? Grian, Scar and Bdubs.
Hang on, Scar and Bdubs? These two were the best duos in dying: just look at their Hermitcraft uploads!
This corroborates my second point: it’s all about spontaneity. Accidents and mishaps can happen; we are humans, after all. In simple terms, this SMP will always keep you on your toes!
Despite all the war… please remember these Minecraft YouTubers are friends.
Minecrafters who respect one another and would not overdo for extremely selfish reasons, fame etc. If any boundaries are crossed... retribution is awaiting!
