Previously, I shared my lengthy, arduous journey to secure a Graduate position.
In the post above, I mentioned how I was inundated by the mountain of rejections. Just when I thought I'm too depressed to recognise any feelings anymore—a worship song suddenly strikes a chord.
As though the Holy Spirit is reaching out to me through this song, filling the void in me with hope and strength to carry on.
I promised to share the song to you all, and here it is. The song is "10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)" by Matt Redman. Listen to it below on YouTube:
My initial impression of this song?
Comforted.
Indeed, I was touched. Instantaneously. This is the rhythm that can get anyone singing and giving praises to God.
Unlike pop music, "10,000 Reasons" is not just another melody that delights everyone's ears. It has the capacity to ignite the sleeping spirit in me, evoking emotions that only a few can resonate powerfully.
Blessed.
Ten months ago when I was depressed over my unemployment, this song offered me hope.
Twenty months later in my employment, this song offered me gratitude. Grateful because my prayers are answered, grateful because He is there for me and will always be.
I tuned into this song occasionally in my office and the emotions are still burning inside me. I cannot get enough of how significant that moment was!
The turning point of my life—literally!
Upon studying the lyrics further, I realised the lyrics almost mirrored my gratitude to Him:
Your name is great And Your heart is kind For all Your goodness I will keep on singing Ten thousand reasons For my heart to find
...
Sing like never before Oh my soul I'll worship Your Holy name
...
And on that day When my strength is failing The end draws near And my time has come Still my soul will Sing Your praise unending Ten thousand years And then forevermore
Fulfilled.
Hope you find this song fulfilling as much as I do! And if you do, don't forget to share this with your family and friends. Spread the love, spread the positivity, spread the hope! Because nothing is impossible with Him!
Amen!
Signing out and singing out loud,
